Cancer Council SA’s ability to work towards a cancer free future is only made possible by the extraordinary generosity of the South Australian community - supporters like you.
We take care to invest every dollar wisely, ensuring it has the biggest possible impact on South Australians affected by cancer.
All money raised through Cancer Council’s Undies Run will fund South Australian bowel cancer research, prevention and support programs.
Cancer Council SA is currently funding three bowel cancer research projects as part of Cancer Council’s Beat Cancer Project, focusing on how we can improve bowel cancer screening rates, treatment and survivorship, and exploring genetic risk factors of bowel cancer.
At least one in three cancer deaths are preventable through embracing a healthy lifestyle and taking part in cancer screening. Cancer Council SA promotes national bowel cancer screening initiatives, as well as helping to spread important messages about reducing bowel cancer risk.
Cancer Council SA’s support services ensure no one has to go through cancer alone. Anyone can call 13 11 20 to seek information or support from experienced cancer nurses, or to learn about our range of practical and psychosocial support services available.
